Community Connections is a program that matches a volunteer from our community with a partner; a teenager or an adult with a developmental disability. Together the volunteer and partner spend time together each month, exploring recreational resources in our area and taking part in leisure activities. This is a time to share opportunities to learn new skills, grow as individuals, and to get to know each other as the partner becomes more socially involved in the community. Activities that volunteers and partners can participate in together are only limited by their imaginations. Some activities include:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!Adults 18 and older are needed to volunteer to help to grow this program. Right now there is a waiting list for partners who do not have a match yet. The Volunteer Coordinator provides a two (2) hour training session and monthly telephone contact for follow-up support.
